Side Effects
Although mostly preventable, there are cases where a patient needs medication to help manage their blood pressure. These types of medicines are called beta blockers or diuretics and they contain a level of magnesium that helps lower blood pressure and improve function of the heart. With these medications comes side effects and as a result of magnesium levels being lower this leaves a person open to risks because if a magnesium level drops too low this can also be catastrophic for a person. Some side effects associated with this are insomnia, dizziness, cramps and even erectile dysfunction.

Practicing breathing techniques at least once a day for about 20 minutes can help relieve some stress, which in turn allows your blood pressure to lower.
